Miss South Africa 2023 is Natasha Joubert


Natasha Joubert was crowned Miss South Africa 2023 during the 65th Miss South Africa pageant held on Sunday, August 13 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria.

The 26-year-old marketing management graduate and entrepreneur from Tshwane, Gauteng won in her second attempt for the national title. She was second runner-up at Miss South Africa 2020 and went on to compete in the 69th Miss Universe which was held in Hollywood, Florida.

Bryoni Govender, 26, from Kempton Park in Gauteng, and Nande Mabala, 26, from Zwelethemba, Worcester in Cape Town were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Homba Mazaleni and Melissa Nayimuli while Anke Rothmann and Jordan van der Vyver were the rest of the Top 7 finalists.

Hosted by award-winning television presenter, radio personality, actress, and social media personality Bonang Matheba, the much-talked-about event was attended by a special guest and part of the distinguished panel of judges, reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA.

The new Miss South Africa succeeds last year's winner Ndavi Nokeri and is now expected to represent South Africa at Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland while her runner-up will go to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador.
