Marcela Miranda has been officially appointed as Miss World Guatemala 2023 and will represent her country in the upcoming 71st Miss World competition. The 20-year-old is an accountant by profession and currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in commerce and international relations. She speaks English and Spanish. Marcela is also a professional dancer in Latin, modern, and classical genres and is expected to showcase her talent during the 71st Miss World Talent competition. She was part of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team for 14 years and is currently a rhythmic gymnastics coach. According to several news outlets, the decision to change the dates for the competition from December 2023 was due to the upcoming elections in the host country. Over 100 contestants are expected to arrive in New Delhi, India on February 3 for a month-long activities leading to the final on March 2. The Miss World Organization (MWO) has yet to make an official announcement confirming the new schedules. Considering some changes made previously, we can't be sure if the dates will change again. "After their Manila visit, Julia and Karolina will be in preparation for the much-awaited 71st edition of the Miss World Final to be held in New Delhi, India on December 16th." New Delhi has great historical significance as an important commercial, transportation, and cultural center, as well as the political hub of India. The city is home to the iconic India Gate, a war memorial built in memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives fighting for the British Army in World War I. This is India's second time hosting Miss World after 1996 in Bangalore.
