70th Miss World Karolina Bielawska visits Monterrey, Mexico

70th Miss World Karolina Bielawska touched down in Monterrey, the capital of the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León at the start of her 5-day visit to the country. The Polish beauty queen was also reunited with her Miss World sister Karolina Vidales (the reigning Miss World Mexico and 70th Miss World Top 6 finalist). They both took the opportunity to catch up while enjoying the afternoon sunshine in the beautiful Santa Lucia Park which hosts the annual Santa Lucia International Festival. The famous festival is the biggest cultural event in Nuevo León. It is a celebration of young performers, artists, and international cultural activities with exhibits and performances not only taking place in the park but throughout the surrounding streets. Carolina Pérez Martínez was crowned Mexicana Universal Sinaloa 2022 on Friday, November 18 at Modular Inés Arredondo (MIA) in Culiacán. The 26-year-old hotel and tourism management graduate will now prepare to represent the state of Sinaloa at the Mexicana Universal 2023 pageant. "When dreams are bigger than fears, nothing is impossible. I dreamed about this moment a thousand and one times and it came true. Once again I proved to myself what I am capable of, I am so happy and proud because all my hard work and dedication paid off," she wrote in a statement on social media. Mexicana Universal is a national pageant established in 2018 and is responsible for selecting Mexico's delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, and Reina Hispanoamericana. Miss Orb International 2022 is Camila Canto of Mexico

A 22-year-old model and aspiring actress from Mexico, Camila Canto, was crowned Miss Orb International 2022 during the inaugural edition of the international pageant held on Tuesday, August 30 in San José, Costa Rica. Nicaragua's Mariela Cerros was named first runner-up while Venezuela's Grecia Bitchachi finished as second runner-up. The representatives from Peru, Flavia Montes, and Colombia, Luisa Gonzalez were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 10 were Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Denmark, and the USA. "We made it Mexico," the newly crowned Miss Orb International wrote in a statement on social media after winning her title. "Thank you for the support and for being my support in this adventure my beautiful people. There is no doubt that dreams come true when one works and fights for them. Miss Grand Mexico 2022 is Laysha Salazar

Laysha Anaili Salazar Ocejo was officially announced as Miss Grand Mexico 2022 in a special ceremony held on Thursday, August 25 at the Victoria Hall of the Los Lagos Country Club in Hermosillo. The 19-year-old beauty hails from the city of Hermosillo, in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. She is pursuing a degree in entertainment business management. Previously owned by the Miss Mexico Organization, the license for Miss Grand Mexico has now been taken over by Venezuelan businessman Flavio Falsiroli. The newly appointed Miss Grand Mexico is no stranger to pageantry. In 2021, she was named Miss Teen Universe Mexico and went on to compete in the Miss Teen Universe pageant in Nicaragua where she placed in the Top 10. Mister Supranational 2022: Cuba, Korea, Mexico, Spain and Vietnam bested Top Model competition

The Mister Supranational 2022 Top Model competition took place on Friday, July 8 at Hotel Beskid, in the city of Nowy Sacz, Poland. Over 30 supra men hit the Top Model runway wearing fashion outfits they had to prepare themselves. Cuba's Luis Daniel Gálvez,  Korea's Han Jung-wan, Mexico's Moises Peñaloza, Spain's Manuel Ndele & Vietnam's Bui Xuan Dat were the judges' choices for the Top 5. One of them will be named Mister Supranational 2022 Top Model and will advance to the Top 20 in the final competition next Saturday, July 16. Moisés Peñaloza was named Mister Supranational Mexico 2022 in a national competition held at the Teatro Galerías in Guadalajara, Jalisco on Sunday, June 12. The 30-year-old electronics engineer, who hails from Tamaulipas, is an actor, TV host, and athlete. He bested 26 other contestants to win his title. Irma Miranda, representative of the state of Sonora, was crowned Mexicana Universal 2022 (Miss Universe Mexico 2022) at the Centro de Convenciones de San Luis Potosí (San Luis Potosi Convention Center) on Saturday, May 21. The 25-year-old TV host and business administration graduate bested 31 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds Débora Hallal of Sinaloa and will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022 later this year. The reigning Miss Universe from Mexico, Andrea Meza, toured around Israel ahead of the upcoming 70th Miss Universe competition to be held in the country this December. Her itinerary included a visit to holy sites in Jerusalem's Old City on Wednesday, November 17. Amid boycott calls and pressures on contestants, Israel pushes through its historic hosting of the Miss Universe pageant in Eilat. Over 70 beauties from around the world will soon arrive to compete for the prestigious title. According to Andrea, the pageant shouldn’t be politicized. The Mexican beauty will relinquish her crown on December 12 in the southern Israeli resort city. Wearing a black ensemble, the beauty queen arrived in her home country after over four hours flight from JFK in New York to Mexico City on Monday, July 5.
