Official send-off for Miss Intercontinental, Globe, and Grand Philippines 2022

Three of this year's Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) titleholders will have an official send-off party this Monday, September 19 in Araneta City. Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabriella Basiano, Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong will soon depart for their international competitions this October. Gabriella and Chelsea will respectively compete for back-to-back wins at Miss Intercontinental 2022 in Egypt (October 14) and The Miss Globe 2022 in Albania (October 15) while Roberta will try to make history at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia (October 25). Miss World Singapore 2022 is Oh Wei Qi

Oh Wei Qi was crowned Miss World Singapore 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, September 10 at the state-of-the-art The Theatre at Mediacorp. The 23-year-old artist and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent Singapore at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Khailing Ho. "Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream," she wrote in a statement on social media and recalled how she joined the pageant for the first time in 2021. "It was my first pageant experience and definitely one that taught me the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities I can do to give back to society," she said. She also added, "It showed me that my dreams are not as far-fetched as it seems if I am not willing to give up." Also crowned at the same event were Miss Intercontinental Singapore 2022 Gerlyn Cheah and Miss Globe Singapore 2022 Saranya Chyenne. Miss Zimbabwe Queen 2022: Meet the Top 12 finalists

The inaugural edition of the Miss Zimbabwe Queen pageant will take place on Saturday, September 10 at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC). Former Miss Zimbabwe Brita Masalethulini will host the big show with Zimbabwean Radio DJ and businessman Tich Mataz while comedienne Madam Boss, fashion stylist Tafadzwa Zimoyo and fashion entrepreneur Hollywood Lee will host the red carpet. Musicians Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, Trevor Dongo, and John Cole will be guest performers. The newest national pageant in Zimbabwe was founded by former queens Tendai Hunda and Hilda Mabu and its winners will have the opportunity to represent the country at various international pageants such as Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Model of the World, and Top Model of the World. Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc send-off ceremony

Vietnam's representative for the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, was given a special send-off ceremony on Thursday, September 1. The event took place at the Orchids Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and was attended by the reigning Miss Intercontinental Cinderella Faye Obeñita from the Philippines as an invited special guest. Prior to being appointed Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2022, Bao Ngoc was named first runner-up at the Miss World Vietnam 2022 pageant last August 12. The 21-year-old model and student will compete in the Miss Intercontinental 2022 final on October 14 in Sharm El Sheik, a city on the coastal strip along the beautiful Red Sea. Miss Seychelles 2020 first princess, Shannen April Henrie, has been officially announced to represent Seychelles at the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant. The 27-year-old beauty holds an ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business and works as a senior audit executive at ACM & Associates, a professional firm offering assurance services. She is also working towards finishing her ACCA and becoming an affiliate member, as well as pursuing a bachelor's degree in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University. Shannen enjoys socializing, singing, and attending weekly dance classes in her free time. Dance has been a passion of hers since she was a child which is why she joined the Emergency Crew, a group of versatile dancers, and has recently performed in a show at ICCS. After three years, the traditional Binibining Pilipinas grand "Parade of Beauties" made a comeback at Araneta City, formerly called Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City. Wearing their floral printed one-shoulder one-piece swimsuits by fashion stylist Justine Aliman and floral headdresses, the 40 beauties who are vying for this year's coveted national titles paraded the streets on Friday, July 23. Binibining Pilipinas 2022, the 58th edition of the national competition, will take place next Sunday, July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The show will air on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channe, A2Z, TV5, IWantTFC, and YouTube. Miss Polonia 2022 is Krystyna Sokołowska

Krystyna Sokołowska was crowned Miss Polonia 2021/2022 in a national competition held at the OSiR Sports and Spectacle Hall in Włocławek on Friday, May 27. The 25-year-old student and sports club owner from Białystok edged out 19 other beauties to win her title. She succeeds last year's winner, Natalia Gryglewska. Karolina Malina of Kołobrzeg and Julia Baryga of Łódź were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Klaudia Andrzejewska of Włocławek and Sylwia Bober of Biłgoraj completed the Top 5. Miss Polonia 2019 and reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska was present as a special guest at the glittering event. The new Miss Polonia was a former Miss Earth Poland winner who placed in the Top 10 at Miss Earth 2019 pageant held in the Philippines. It is not yet confirmed which international competition Krystyna will be sent to. Miss Polonia organization currently holds the national franchise for Miss World, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Grand International pageants.

Miss Philippines, Cinderella Faye Obeñita, was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2021 during the glittering 49th edition of the pageant on Friday, October 29 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The 25-year-old tourism officer who hails from Cagayan de Oro bested over 70 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeded Hungary's Fanni Mikó. Mexico's Paulina Uceda was named first runner-up while United Kingdom's Romy Simpkins was awarded the second runner-up.
