Natasha Joubert was crowned Miss South Africa 2023 during the 65th Miss South Africa pageant held on Sunday, August 13 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria. The 26-year-old marketing management graduate and entrepreneur from Tshwane, Gauteng won in her second attempt for the national title. She was second runner-up at Miss South Africa 2020 and went on to compete in the 69th Miss Universe which was held in Hollywood, Florida. Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx was officially crowned the first-ever "The Miss Philippines" on Thursday, August 10. The crowning ceremony took place during the Supra-Duo Homecoming celebration event held for her and Mister Supranational 2023 semifinalist Johannes Rissler at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. Pauline received her crown and official The Miss Philippines sash from former beauty queen and now Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee. As the titleholder, the Boholana beauty represents "confidence, intelligence, and positive change in addition to being a beauty queen." The 22-international business student bested 64 other competitors to win her country's first Miss Supranational title. She succeeds last year's winner Lalela Mswane of South Africa.
