Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023: Meet the contestants

A total of 11 contestants have been selected to take part in the Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2023 (Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023) pageant.

This year's competition, themed "Metamorphosis" held its preliminary event last Tuesday, May 30 at the Naparmia Bowl in San Fernando. 

The winner of the much-awaited grand final night this July will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador later this year while another finalist will be designated for the Top Model of the World.

Reigning queen and Miss Universe 2022 Top 16 semifinalist, Tya Jané Ramey, will crown her successor at the culmination of the event.

Anambra's Basil Onyinyechi crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025

Miss Anambra, Basil Onyinyechi, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. She bested 21 other contestants to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Idah Eno of Akwa Ibom clinched the crown of Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025 and will head to Poland for Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Damilola Bolarinde of Lagos, Fortune Kurobo of Bayelsa, and Irene Ikediashi of Ogun finished as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Meet the winners of Miss Nepal 2025

The Miss Nepal 2025 pageant was held on Saturday, August 30 at the  Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. In addition to Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International, and Miss Nepal Earth, the 26 contestants also competed for the new title of Miss Nepal Cosmo. Luna Luitel, 26, from Kathmandu was crowned Miss Nepal World 2025 and will go to the Miss World 2026 competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Heading to the Miss International 2025 beauty pageant in Tokyo, Japan this November is Miss Nepal International 2025 Urusha Bhandari, 26, from Achham. Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. Leonora Lysglimt-Rødland was crowned Miss Norway 2025 (Miss Universe Norway 2025) in a national competition held on Saturday, August 30 at Gateway Studios in Fornebu. Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Praewwanich Ruangthong of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and Naruemol Phimphakdee of Phuket were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The spectacular Miss Universe 2024 preliminary competition and national costume show was held last night at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the important event kicked off with the contestants parading in their colorful and stunning national costumes. After the national costume segment, each contestant walked on stage in their swimsuits and capes, and then by group during the evening gown. An esteemed panel of selection committee carefully assessed each of their performances. Scores from last night's event including their closed-door interviews, will help determine the semifinalists. Former Miss France Eve Gilles has been officially named Miss Universe France 2025 by the Miss France organization. The 22-year-old model from Quaëdypre is set to represent France at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant to be held in Thailand this November. Eve first gained recognition when she was crowned Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2023 and later won Miss France 2024 in Dijon, making her the fourth woman from her region to achieve this honor.
