A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. It features the South Sea Pearl, the national gem of the Philippines. A new queen will wear the illustrious masterpiece during the final competition of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 this April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. A transgender woman, Solange Dekker, made history after entering the Top 10 of Miss Nederland 2022 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2022) in a casting held in Amsterdam on Saturday, April 16.
