Anna Leitch was crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2021 in a dazzling competition held at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Monday, September 6. The 27-year-old teacher from Cookstown bested 22 other beauties to win her title. She succeeds Miss Northern Ireland 2019 Lauren Leckey. Miss Crumlin, Ruth Armstrong, and Miss Antrim, Bernadette Hagans, were respectively announced as the first and second runners-up. At a packed press conference today, it was announced that due to exceptional demand for tickets, the Miss World Final had been moved to Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot the largest indoor venue in the country! Tickets for the 16th December final are expected to go on sale from September 17th. The Coliseum, in San Juan is the biggest indoor arena in Puerto Rico and is dedicated to entertainment. Opened in 2004, ‘Choliseo’ as it is nicknamed, can accommodate up to 18,500 spectators. It has been voted as one of the top 10 arena venues in the world. At the Press Conference, Julia Morley Chairman and CEO of Miss World was joined by reigning Miss World – Toni-Ann Singh, Stephanie Del Valle - Miss World 2016 and Vanessa Ponce De Leon - Miss World 2018.  Julia spoke of her deep pride in Puerto Rico being the host of the 70th Final. Sharon Obara bested 15 other contestants to be crowned Miss World Kenya 2021 in a national competition held last Saturday, August 28 at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi. The 19-year-old beauty succeeds Miss World Kenya 2019 Maria Nyamai Wavinya and will represent her East African country at the 70th Miss World pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December. Chantou Kwamboka and Mwihaki Njogu were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. "I'm humbled to have been the one bestowed the honor to represent Kenya at Miss World. Miss Bedforshire, Rehema Muthamia was crowned Miss England 2021 in a glittering competition held at the Heart of England Conference and Event Centre in Coventry last Friday, August 27. The 25-year-old genetics graduate of the University of Sussex grew up in Kenya and speaks four languages. She is advocating against domestic abuse of women in her Beauty with a Purpose project. Miss Lancashire, Jessica Gagen and Miss Worcester, Erin Smith were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss England succeeds Bhasha Mukherjee, an NHS doctor who won the national title in 2019. Miss Gracias a Dios, Dayana Bordas, was crowned Miss Honduras Mundo 2021 (Miss Honduras World) in a national competition held in Utila, Islas De La Bahia on Saturday, August 28. Miss Distrito Federal, Caroline Teixeira, was crowned Miss Brasil Mundo 2021 (Miss World Brazil) in a national competition held in Brasilia on Thursday, August 19. The 23-year-old beauty, who holds a degree in law, succeeds Miss Mundo Brasil 2019 Elís Miele. She will represent her country at the 70th Miss World (Miss World 2021) pageant to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December. Miss Rio Grande do Sul, Alina Furtado, and Miss Espirito Santo, Gabriela Botelho, were in second and third places, respectively. Miss Antioquia, Andrea Aguilera, was crowned Miss Mundo Colombia 2021 in a national competition held at Hall 74 on Saturday, August 14 in Bogota. The 23-year-old social communicator and early childhood care technician holds a diploma in neuro-linguistic programming. Her Beauty with a Purpose project “Nutrir Neuronas” tackles child malnutrition and she works with “Othello Nutrition” to give specialized nutritional food to hundreds of children with chronic malnutrition. Miss Patagonia, Carol Drpic, was crowned Miss Mundo Chile 2021 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Santiago last June 26. Janice Sampere was officially crowned as Miss Gibraltar 2021 in a special ceremony held at the Mayor's Parlour at City Hall on Tuesday, July 6. The 23-year-old tax associate was first runner-up during the Miss Gibraltar 2019 pageant. She was appointed to succeed Celine Bolaños as a national competition will not be held this year due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Maja Čolić was crowned Miss Slovenije 2020/21 in a national competition that took place last June 27 in Hrastnik. The 21-year-old beauty from Ribnica is a student of economics and international business. She bested 14 other contestants to win the national title. Lina Jenšac and Neža Simčič were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Michoacán representative Karolina Vidales was crowned Miss Mexico 2021 at Lago Di Como in Chihuahua on Saturday, July 3. The 24-year-old beauty holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. She bested 31 other contestants from across Mexico to win the national competition.  Karolina will represent her country at Miss World 2021 to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December. Jalisco's Mariana Macías was named Miss Mexico Grand 2021 and will be sent to the Miss Grand International 2021 later this year. Tiisetso Seliane bested 10 other finalists to be crowned Miss Lesotho 2021 at the Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru last May 29. The 24-year-old aspiring teacher from Hlotse is currently an education student at the National University of Lesotho (NUL). Poelano Mothisi was named the first princess while Rapelang Ntsane became the second princess. The new Miss Lesotho will represent her southern African country at the 70th Miss World (Miss World 2021) pageant later this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 3rd annual Miss World Cayman Islands pageant took place on Saturday, May 29 at the Harquail Theatre, George Town in Grand Cayman. Rashana Hydes bested four other beauties to be crowned Miss World Cayman Islands 2021. She succeeded Miss World Cayman Islands 2019 Jaci Patrick. The 24-year-old mental health advocate from West Bay holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. She can be described as ambitious, fair-minded, and artistic, who is passionate about various forms of creative expression. Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh has on the weekend arrived in Puerto Rico together with Miss World Organization's Julia Morley ahead of the Miss World 2021 competition on the island later this year. They were welcomed by former Miss World from Puerto Rico and Miss World 2021 organizer, Stephanie del Valle. It was Toni-Ann's first official trip since the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions happened. The Jamaican beauty said she was very excited about her visit as Puerto Rico is so much like her own country. During their official visit, they will attend meetings with local government officials and look at various locations to be selected for the 70th edition of the international pageant. Miss World Philippines 2021 candidates have been officially announced and the final will be held this July 11. Over 40 beauties are vying for the coveted national title and the opportunity to represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2021 pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico later this year. Miss Mundo Naranjito Aryam Díaz Rosado was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2021 at the Alejandro Tapia Theater in Old San Juan on Saturday, April 24. The 22-year-old TV host and international model succeeded Daniella Rodríguez. She bested 16 other contestants to win the coveted national title. Miss Mundo San Juan, Bárbara Betancourt Cortés, and Miss Mundo Fajardo, Bianka Loriel, were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Miss Mundo Río Grande, Raishmar Carrillo, and Miss Mundo Rincón, Chelsey García, completed the Top 5. Letícia Cocito, 18, has been named Miss Grande Curitiba 2021 for Miss Brasil Mundo (Miss Brazil World) 2021 competition. Phonvilai Luanglath, 24, has been officially named Miss World Laos 2021 after the original winner, Phongsavanh Souphavady, stepped down as titleholder due to an age limit issue. Miss World Organization requires the contestants must be between 17 to 26 years old before the entry date of the international pageant. “I apologize to the organizers and the audience who always believed in the competition. Many thanks to my parents, relatives, and all strangers who have always supported me," Phongsavanh said when she announced her resignation. Grace Ingabire, 25, representing Kigali, bested 19 other contestants to be crowned Miss Rwanda 2021 in a national competition held on Saturday, March 20 at the Intare Conference Arena in Kabuga. The university graduate with a major in dance drove home a brand new Hyundai Creta 2021 series from Hyundai Rwanda, a 55-inch TV courtesy of Star Times Rwanda, a monthly salary, and other benefits. Amanda Akaliza and Witness Umutoni were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Each won a cash prize, a full-year scholarship at the University of Kigali, and a weekend getaway for 6 months offered by La Palisse Nyamata. The new Miss Rwanda succeeded last year's winner, Naomie Nishimwe, and will now have the opportunity to represent her country at the Miss World 2021 pageant to be held later this year in Puerto Rico.
