Jane Shauny Knoester was crowned Miss World Nederland 2023 (Miss World Netherlands 2023) on Tuesday, October 24 at the De Koning Party & Events in Amsterdam. The 18-year-old figure skater from The Hague bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Amber Koelewijn. Buket Bengisu Ünal, 20, from Rotterdam, and Cheyenne den Dikkenboer, 25, from Schiedam, were announced as first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss World national directors were recently informed via email that the 71st Miss World (Miss World 2023) final has been moved to March 2024. No reason was given. According to several news outlets, the decision to change the dates for the competition from December 2023 was due to the upcoming elections in the host country. Over 100 contestants are expected to arrive in New Delhi, India on February 3 for a month-long activities leading to the final on March 2. The Miss World Organization (MWO) has yet to make an official announcement confirming the new schedules. Considering some changes made previously, we can't be sure if the dates will change again. Togo, a West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea, is set to debut at Miss World 2023 later this year Miss Togo 2023 Chimène Moladja officially announced on Monday, October 16 her upcoming participation in the Miss World 2023 competition. In a statement on social media, the 24-year-old who now holds the title Miss World Togo 2023 shared: "I consider this opportunity to be so much more than just a beauty contest. This is a platform that will allow me to carry a message close to my heart, a message of hope, unity, and change." "My goal in participating in Miss World 2023 is to raise awareness worldwide on issues affecting our society, such as education, women empowerment, environmental protection, and the fight against inequality," she added. "As a young Togolese woman, I am convinced that we all have a role to play in building a better world. Margarita Golubeva was crowned Miss Russia 2023 in a glittering national competition held on Sunday, October 8 in Moscow. The 22-year-old model and student from St. Petersburg received her crown from last year's titleholder  Anna Linnikova . She is now expected to represent Russia at both Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. Elizaveta Dudina from Togliatti and Lyubov Khokholova from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Russia is currently studying at the Russian Customs Academy (Faculty of Customs Affairs) and Moscow State Institute of Culture (Faculty of Musical Arts). Victoria DiSorbo was crowned Miss World America 2023 in a national competition held on Thursday, October 5 at the Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue, Washington. The 25-year-old representing the state of Tennessee will now prepare to compete on behalf of the United States of America at Miss World 2023 in India this December. She succeeds Shree Saini, Miss World America 2020 who placed first runner-up at the 70th Miss World. Tharina Botes was crowned Miss Thailand World 2023 in a glittering competition held on Sunday, October 1 at the Palladium Hall of The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam in Bangkok. The 26-year-old Thai-South African model from Phuket will now prepare to represent Thailand at Miss World 2023 in India this December. Warangkhana Sirisathaphornsap and Ploiwarin Saenchai were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chotnapa Kaewjarun and Chaba Jumsai Na Ayudhya rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The three winners of Miss Ukraine 2023 who will represent Ukraine in international pageants were officially announced on Monday, September 25 through social media. Sofia Shamia, an 18-year-old student from the Kyiv region was named Miss Ukraine 2023 (Miss World Ukraine 2023) and will compete in Miss World 2023 in India on December 16. The title of Miss International Ukraine 2023 went to Sofia Zgoba, 18, from Lviv region, and she will go to Japan for Miss International 2023 on October 26. Anastasia Feyer, 21, from Zakarpattia, was proclaimed Miss Earth Ukraine 2023 and will be sent to Vietnam for Miss Earth 2023 on December 22.
