Miss Universe Philippines 2024: Meet Top 3 national costume competition winners

The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 national costume competition was held last April 28 at Provincial Capitol Gym in Sultan Kudarat. Out of 53 colorful and spectacular costumes inspired by the rich flora and fauna of the Philippines as this year's theme, only three winners have been announced. The winning costumes were from Alexie Mae Brooks of Iloilo, Janet Hammond of Southern California, and Tamara Ocier of Tacloban. They each received P100,000 in cash. Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Top 5 for swimsuit challenge announced

The Top 5 finalists for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Swimsuit Challenge have been officially announced on Sunday, May 5 online. Determined entirely by fan votes were Deanna Marie Maté of Cavite, Patricia Bianca Tapia of Hawaii, Alexie Mae Brooks of Iloilo, Maria Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province, and Janet Hammond of Southern California. To recall, the swimsuit challenge was held last April 20 in Boracay and the top-voted winner will automatically earn a spot at this year's finals. Continue voting for your favorites to win the other challenges and help her advance one step closer to the coveted crown and national title. To vote, download the Miss Universe Philippines app, go to the challenge vote tab, and vote for the worthy contestant of your choice. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios' emotional parade in the Philippines

Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios received a grand welcome motorcade on Sunday, May 5 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex in Pasay City. The beauty queen from Nicaragua arrived in the Philippines on May 1 as part of her Asia Tour and as a special guest of the Miss Universe Philippines organization. Fans flocked to MOA to give her the warmest Filipino welcome. The reigning Miss Universe became emotional when she was handed the Nicaraguan flag during her parade. To recall, Sheynnis has not been back to her home country since winning the 72nd Miss Universe last November in San Salvador, El Salvador. Fun fact, she not only became the first Nicaraguan woman to become Miss Universe but also the first to win one of the major international pageants. But, her historic victory was controversial in Nicaragua, due to the images of her participation years ago in protests against Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega. Miss Earth 2023 Drita Ziri arrives in the Philippines

Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri touched down in the Philippines on Thursday, May 2 for her first official visit since winning Miss Earth 2023 last December in Vietnam. The Albanian beauty will be joined by her elemental court Cora Bliault from Thailand, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines. According to the Miss Earth organization, they will be in the Philippines until May 12 to take part in the promotion of heritage and eco-tourism of the country. The queens will have a media conference on May 7 at Brittany Hotel in Villar City, Cavite, and will be gracing the Miss Philippines Earth 2024 grand coronation on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. From Bangkok, Thailand, the reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua continues her Asia Tour in the Philippines. Wearing a fuchsia one-shoulder dress, the beauty queen arrived on Wednesday, May 1 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via Philippine Airlines. This is Sheynnis' first official visit to the Philippines since she was crowned the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) last November in El Salvador. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios to visit the Philippines

Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios will be in the Philippines during the first week of May according to the Miss Universe Organization. "We are thrilled to announce our visit to the Philippines. A land of breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and friendly faces. Where every corner tells a story of resilience and beauty," MUO posted on social media. The Nicaraguan beauty is expected to touch down in Manila on May 1 and will stay until May 7 to attend various activities for the ongoing Miss Universe Philippines 2024. Sheynnis has been busy touring around Southeast Asia for her Asia Tour since last month but mainly stayed in Thailand where the Miss Universe Organization is partly based. The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 Long Gown Competition was held on Saturday, April 27 at Toledo Sports Center in Toledo City, Cebu. Ansha Lichelle Jones of Zamboanga City was awarded the gold medal while the contestants from Batangas City, Ira Patricia Malaluan, and Makati City, Sam Samara, received the silver and bronze medals, respectively. This year's much-awaited Miss Philippines Earth coronation night, the 24th edition, will be held on May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 Beach Wear Competition was held on Thursday, April 25 in Borongan City, the capital of the province of Eastern Samar. Sam Samara of Makati City bagged the gold medal while the representatives of Iligan City, Kristel Codas, and Matanao, Davao Del Sur, Irha Mel Inutan Alfeche were awarded silver and bronze, respectively. Sophia Nicole Arkangel was crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2024 in a glittering event on Sunday, April 14 at Aliw Theater in Pasay City. The 25-year-old beauty representing Laguna succeeds last year's winner Lars Pacheco. She will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss International Queen 2024 in Pattaya, Thailand. Nina Marie Similatan of Davao Oriental was named first runner-up while Julian Concepcion of Manila, Sheila Magpale of Koronadal, and Mikay Bautista of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Miss Universe Philippines Organization has officially announced the final date and venue for this year's Miss Universe Philippines competition. In a post on social media, the organization revealed that the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 will take place on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This year's event will mark the fifth edition of the national pageant headed by former titleholder Shamcey Supsup-Lee (Miss Universe Philippines 2011 and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up). Tickets for the highly anticipated final show will be available to the general public starting April 8. More than 50 women from across the country are currently vying for the national title and the chance to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. Universal Woman 2024 is Maria Gigante of the Philippines

Maria Gigante, representing the Philippines, was crowned Universal Woman 2024 in a glittering competition held on Friday, March 22 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The 30-year-old host, model, and entrepreneur hailing from Cebu, Philippines, edged out over 40 other contestants to win the international title. Established in 1964, Binibining Pilipinas currently selects Filipina representatives for Miss International and The Miss Globe pageants.
