The Indian beauty will join former queens Zozibini Tunzi (Miss Universe 2020) and Rolene Strauss (Miss World 2014) at the judging table to select the next South African representatives for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational. For her advice to the Top 10 finalists, Harnaaz said: "Be authentic! Miss Supranational 2022 from South Africa, Lalela Mswane, has returned to her home country two weeks after winning her international title in Poland. The 25-year-old arrived at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Friday, July 29. She was warmly welcomed by her friends, family, acting CEO of Brand South Africa Sithembile Ntombela, and the Miss South Africa organizers. At a press conference, Lalela reiterated that her win was not only for herself but for South Africa as a whole. She reaffirmed her commitment to working harder than ever on her projects, which will be focusing on issues surrounding unemployment. South Africa's Lalela Mswane has last night made history not only for winning her country's first Miss Supranational but also for becoming the first woman of color to win the coveted title. "I’m simply at a loss for words," the newly crowned Miss Supranational 2022 said in a statement on social media the day after winning the glittering competition at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Lalela succeeded last year's titleholder, Chanique Rabe of Namibia, after beating 68 other women during the 13th edition of the Poland-based pageant. Lalela Mswane from South Africa was crowned Miss Supranational 2022 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland on Friday, July 15. The 25-year-old law graduate and model who hails from Richards Bay in the KwaZulu-Natal province bested 68 other contestants from around the world to win her country's first Miss Supranational crown. She succeeds last year's winner from Namibia, Chanique Rabe. Praewwanich Ruangthong of Thailand was named first runner-up while Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen of Vietnam finished second runner-up. The representatives from Venezuela, Ismelys Velásquez, and Indonesia, Adinda Cresheilla were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Supranational 2022, the 13th edition of the Polish-based international pageant, is taking place tonight at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Sixty-nine contestants from around the world are competing for the international crown. Three countries that debuted this year are Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, and Lesotho. A new crown designed by renowned Mexican jewelry designer Ricardo Patraca was introduced during the preliminary competition on Tuesday, July 12. Miss South Africa Organization has officially announced that Lalela Mswane will be sent to the 13th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant. The 24-year-old beauty was crowned Miss South Africa last October in Cape Town. She went on to participate in the 70th Miss Universe pageant last December in Israel and placed second runner-up among 80 contestants.
