After two weeks of pre-pageant events and activities, the Miss Globe 2022 world final will culminate tonight at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tirana, Albania. Fifty contestants from around the globe will battle it out for the coveted title currently held by Maureen Montagne of the Philippines. Spain's Aida Lozano was named the winner of The Miss Globe 2022 Miss Talent final show held on Monday, October 10 at the Diamma Resort in Durres, Albania. Heloisa Godinho of Brazil placed second while the representatives from Albania, Drita Ziri, Costa Rica, Nella Cheves Serano, Ghana, Prisca Abah, and Venezuela, Argi Annisil tied in third place. The Miss Globe 2022 Talent Show final was hosted by the reigning queen Maureen Montagne of the Philippines. The Miss Globe Philippines Chelsea Fernandez was announced on Monday, October 10 as the winner of The Miss Globe 2022 Head to Head Challenge. Anamaria Babau of the United Arab Emirates placed second while Cleopatra Jones of the USA, Sofia Donado of Colombia, and Prisca Abah of Ghana were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Rounding out the Top 10 were Drita Ziri of Albania, Serenity Davis of Canada, Nella Cheves Serano of Costa Rica, Sirel Saad of Estonia, and Thanawan Wigg of Thailand. The representatives from Germany, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Poland, Taiwan, and Ukraine were the rest of the Top 20 finalists for the challenge. Manvin Khera was crowned Ratu Wanita Malaya 2022 in a glittering event held on Saturday, October 8 at the Evolve Concept Mall in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The 21-year-old model bested 17 other competitors to win the inaugural edition of the national pageant. She is now expected to represent Malaysia at The Miss Globe 2023 to be held in Tirana, Albania. Other winners who will also be sent to various international competitions next year were Miss Face of Humanity Malveen Kaur, Miss Global Malaysia Sunshine Aileen Devi Eric, Miss Eco Malaysia Thanu Shri, Miss Asia Pacific Malaysia Taanusiya Chetty, and Miss Star Malaysia Kash Bhullar. The Miss Globe 2022 Miss Bikini competition took place on Saturday, October 8 at the Aquadrom in Tirana, Albania. Albania's Drita Ziri, a 17-year-old model from Fushë-Krujë, was announced the winner while the representative from Thailand, Thanawan Wigg, placed second. Rounding out the Top 5 were Ekaterina Dubenik of Belarus, Rika Kinoshita of Japan, and Argi Annisil of Venezuela. The Miss Bikini competition was just one of the preliminary events of The Miss Globe pageant. Miss Vila Real 2021 Diana Freitas has officially been announced on Wednesday, September 21 as The Miss Globe Portugal 2022. The 23-year-old fashion model and nurse from Vila Real will represent her country at The Miss Globe 2022 pageant in Albania this October. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Sara Almeida. Diana is no stranger to pageantry. After winning Miss Vila Real, she went on to represent her city in Miss Queen Portugal 2021 where she placed in the Top 10 and bagged the Miss Sympathy award. Three of this year's Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) titleholders will have an official send-off party this Monday, September 19 in Araneta City. Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabriella Basiano, Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong will soon depart for their international competitions this October. Gabriella and Chelsea will respectively compete for back-to-back wins at Miss Intercontinental 2022 in Egypt (October 14) and The Miss Globe 2022 in Albania (October 15) while Roberta will try to make history at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia (October 25). Oh Wei Qi was crowned Miss World Singapore 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, September 10 at the state-of-the-art The Theatre at Mediacorp. The 23-year-old artist and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent Singapore at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Khailing Ho. "Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream," she wrote in a statement on social media and recalled how she joined the pageant for the first time in 2021. "It was my first pageant experience and definitely one that taught me the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities I can do to give back to society," she said. She also added, "It showed me that my dreams are not as far-fetched as it seems if I am not willing to give up." Miss Polski 2022 second runner-up Patrycja Krzywoń from Kraków has been officially appointed as The Miss Globe Poland 2022. The 24-year-old beauty is a model and law student at Jagiellonian University. She also studies foreign languages and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German fluently. Her special interests include issues related to Spanish-speaking countries and human rights. Patricia will fly to Tirana, Albania on September 30 to compete in The Miss Globe 2022 pageant, whose final is scheduled on October 15 at Skanderbeg Square.
