SPOTLIGHT: Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez stuns in pride colors for Jojo Bragais


Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez stunningly posed wearing a rainbow dress in her latest photoshoot for a renowned Filipino shoe brand campaign, Jojo Bragais (Bragais Shoes).

The 26-year-old Filipina beauty from Cebu is the first-ever winner of the Miss Universe Philippines national competition who is openly gay and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

"To win in life, you shouldn’t be bothered by everything. True enough, [Beatrice] shrugs off the small stuff and only focuses on what’s important to her — like walking confidently towards the universe’s stage in Jojo Bragais heels," Jojo Bragais captioned her photo on social media.

Miss Universe Philippines organization also shared on their page: "Unbothered queen in pride colors and Bragais Shoes. Walk proud and give your best there in Israel [Beatrice]! We’re behind you.

Beatrice is currently in Israel to achieve her country's fifth Miss Universe crown. Previous winners from the Philippines were Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1974), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).

The 70th Miss Universe final will air live from Eilat this Sunday, December 12 on Fox and Telemundo.

Nadia Mejia-Webb crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025

Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The 29-year-old model and singer will now prepare to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Daphne Currat of Tungurahua and Christie Termidor of Regi贸n Sierra were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Hanoi's Phan Phuong Oanh is the new Miss World Vietnam

Phan Phuong Oanh was proclaimed the winner of the Miss World Vietnam 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old international business graduate from Hanoi bested 46 other contestants to clinch the coveted national title. Le Phuong Khanh Nhu and Truong Tam Nhu were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. The 21-year-old artist and painter from Willemstad became the second woman from Curacao to hold the title next to Evalina Van Putten (2011). Marta Isabel Otero of Colombia placed second (Virreina Hispanoamericana 2026) while Criselys Garcia of the Dominican Republic and Melissa Payr贸 of Mexico were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Earth USA Bea Millan-Windorski joins Miss Universe Philippines 2026

Filipino-American Bea Millan-Windorski has recently been appointed as the official representative for the province of La Union at Miss Universe Philippines 2026. At just 24 years old, she is well-acquainted with the world of pageantry, having participated in Miss Earth USA 2024 in Orlando, Florida, where she clinched the title while representing Wisconsin. This achievement made her the first Filipino-American to secure a national title.
