Miss World Philippines 2022 Sports Challenge Top 5 finalists announced

The Miss World Philippines 2022 Sports Challenge Competition took place last Friday, May 13 at Timberland Highlands Resort in San Mateo, Rizal.

Angela Teng (Baliwag, Bulacan), Shaina Rose Ico (Batangas), Cassandra Bermeo Chan (San Juan), Alison Black (Las Piñas), and Maria Gigante (Cebu) were announced as the Top 5 finalists.


The winner of the Sports Challenge will be announced during the Miss World Philippines 2022 coronation night on June 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau bested 40 other contestants to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 on Saturday, June 25 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Le Thao Nhi and Huynh Pham Thuy Tien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Le Hoang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Huong Ly completed the Top 5 finalists. Reining Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu together with former queens Catriona Gray and Natalie Glebova graced the competition as international judges. Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and CEO Amy Emmerich were also present to witness the glittering show. The new Miss Universe Vietnam is a 28-year-old model from Tay Ninh. Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 is Elena Rivera of Toa Baja

Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant.
