Miss World Philippines 2022 Sports Challenge Top 5 finalists announced

The Miss World Philippines 2022 Sports Challenge Competition took place last Friday, May 13 at Timberland Highlands Resort in San Mateo, Rizal.

Angela Teng (Baliwag, Bulacan), Shaina Rose Ico (Batangas), Cassandra Bermeo Chan (San Juan), Alison Black (Las Piñas), and Maria Gigante (Cebu) were announced as the Top 5 finalists.


The winner of the Sports Challenge will be announced during the Miss World Philippines 2022 coronation night on June 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Philippines wins second Miss Supranational crown

The 17th Miss Supranational beauty pageant was held on Friday, July 31 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Katrina Llegado, a 28-year-old financial management graduate from the Philippines, was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 by her predecessor Eduarda Braum of Brazil. She bested over 60 other contestants to win her country's second Miss Supranational crown after Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul. Eve Gilles of France was named first runner-up while Lara Marina of Brazil, Ndah Eno of Nigeria, and Karolína Gorylová of the Czech Republic were announced the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola.
