Philippines' Meleah Mae Moreno wins Miss Ecology International 2023

Meleah Mae Moreno of the Philippines was crowned Miss Ecology International 2023, the inaugural edition of the international pageant held on Thursday, March 23 in Valencia, Venezuela.

The 23-year-old advocate for marine life hailing from Marilao, Bulacan, made history by being the first winner and at the same time the first Filipina woman to bag the beauty title.

Prior to becoming Miss Ecology Philippines and eventually the international titleholder, she previously competed in Miss Glamour Look International 2019 and Miss Philippines Earth 2021.

Mariela Farias of Ecuador and Anita Diaz of Uruguay were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Mariana Zamora of Argentina, Rose Andrine Fanabelle of Haiti, and Grecia Moreno Pacheco of Venezuela rounded out the Top 6 finalists.

Miss Ecology International is a new beauty pageant whose mission is to form ambassadors of beauty that promote environmental values and the conservation of ecological species.

With its tagline "Beauty with Ecology" the competition searches for the most beautiful women on the planet, to serve as role models dedicated to defending the conservation, preservation, and restoration of Mother Earth.
