Miss Universe Cambodia 2023 kicks off in Phnom Penh


Miss Universe Cambodia 2023 officially kicked off with the opening ceremony held on Thursday, July 27 at Bayon TV Steung Meanchey Studio in Phnom Penh.

Thirty-five contestants who were chosen following an interview round also received their official sashes with the name of the Cambodian provinces they represent during the glittering show hosted by Leak Monyanita, Vorn Sela, and Kim Anna.

Three important events will be held this August — the swimsuit competition (August 24), the national costume (August 28), and the preliminary (August 30). The much-awaited final and coronation night is set for September 7.

At the culmination of this year's pageant, one contestant will walk away with a new crown inspired by Banteay Srei temple and the opportunity to represent Cambodia at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador.

For the first time since its debut at Miss Universe 2017, the national competition has allowed transgender women to participate under the directorship of In Sophin.

Miss Universe Poland 2026 is Vivica Lewandowski

Following a highly competitive selection process, the Miss Universe Poland organization has officially announced Vivica Lewandowski as Miss Universe Poland 2026. The 21-year-old international model and fashion designer hailing from Barrington, Illinois will represent Poland at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. No stranger to pageantry, Vivica is a former Miss Illinois Teen USA who made the Top 20 at Miss Teen USA 2023. She also won the title of Miss Illinois USA this year and competed in Miss USA 2026 last August in Miami. Another fun fact about her is that her mother, Mandy Lane Lewandowski, is also a former beauty queen who won Miss Illinois USA 1998. Cuba's Leah Reyes Amores crowned Miss Teen Universe 2026

Leah Reyes Amores of Cuba was crowned Miss Teen Universe 2026 on Sunday, October 25 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The 16-year-old student from Miami received her crown from last year's winner Amira Moreno of Venezuela. She is the second Cuban representative to win the title next to Lynette Arce-Garcia (Miss Teen Universe 2023). Mailyn Reese Marsh of Hungary was named first runner-up while Catherine Wardle of the Philippines finished as second runner-up. The rest of the runners-up were Noa Jansen of the Netherlands (third), Kiran Reddy of the USA (fourth), Adeeko Omokehinde Omotoyosi of Nigeria (fifth), and Shaniya MacLeod of Indonesia (sixth). Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Sabah Aïb of Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Stella Vangioni of Corsica, Moïra André of Guadeloupe, and Lilou Emeline-Artuso of CÎte d'Azur were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
