Miss Filipina International 2023 is Matea Smith


Matea Smith was crowned Miss Filipina International 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, August 5 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California.

The 21-year-old model and a behavioral and cognitive neuroscience student at the University of Florida bested over 30 other competitors to win the beauty title. Aside from the title, she also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. She succeeds last year's winner, Blessa Figueroa.

Amanda Russo was named Miss Filipina International Tourism 2023 while Lauren Skeoch, Patricia Tapia, and Rylen Steinbuch were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 15 semifinalists were Beatriz Mclelland, Dakota Swart, Denise Samaniego, Hannah Marte, Heather Casignia, Issa Rose Mata, Jessica Zemanek, Kawina Kan-hai, Kelly McIlroy, and Mary Ann Monda.

Hosted by Jeannie Mai and Cheryl Burke, this year's competition marked the 10th-anniversary edition of the annual Miss Filipina International pageant. The winners are expected to compete in The Miss Philippines 2023 and Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

Reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee, who will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November, graced the event as a special guest.

The new Miss Filipina International was born in Coral Springs, Florida with family roots in Pililla, Rizal. According to her bio, she enjoys traveling, cooking exercising, dancing, spending time with her loved ones, and listening to music. Her goal is to become a trauma surgeon and have a positive impact on people's lives.

Miss USA 2025: Meet the contestants

Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This year's competition marks the fourth occasion it will take place in Reno after 2019, 2022, and 2023. Also, this will be the first edition under the leadership of the new Chairman, President, and CEO, Thom Brodeur. The next Miss USA will head to Bangkok, Thailand to represent "the land of opportunity" at the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November. Miss Universe Haiti 2025 is Melissa Queenie Sapini

Melissa Queenie Sapini was officially crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2025 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, October 18 at The Palm Theater (Embassy Suites) in Boca Raton, Florida. The 22-year-old Haitian-American TV host will now prepare to represent Haiti at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Haiti is a former Miss Massachusetts USA. She competed in Miss USA 2024 in Los Angeles, California and made the Top 10. Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines.
