Miss Universe Australia 2023 is Moraya Wilson

Moraya Wilson bested 23 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Australia 2023 in a national competition held on Friday, September 1 at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.

The 21-year-old model and sports coach from Melbourne, currently pursuing her degree in business marketing at RMIT University, will now prepare to represent Australia at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November.

Farida Singatoulina was named first runner-up while Brooklyn Metropolis, Natasha Knox, and Bree Monck were announced as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 finalists were Vimbayi Hakutangwi, Brooke Baily, Johara Pillay, Lily Goodare, and Sené Maluwapi.

The new Miss Universe Australia received the new Stelios Jewellers' crown which was inspired by Banksia tree leaves.

She succeeds last year's remarkable winner from Sydney, Monique Riley, who placed in the Top 16 at Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans last January.
