Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 is Ugochi Ihezue


Miss Imo, Ugochi Ihezue, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 on Sunday, September 10 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The 26-year-old visual artist and women's advocate with a master's degree in business administration will represent Nigeria at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November.

Another winner, Zamfara's Sectra Okundaye was crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria 2023 and will next year go to Poland to compete in Miss Supranational 2024.

The runner-up was the representative of Ekiti, Princess Agunbiade while Lagos, Tofe Olagoke, and Anambra, Paula Ezendu were the rest of the Top 5 finalists.

Completing the Top 15 were Katsina, Cynthia Okoro, Ogun, Olashubomi Balogun, Jigawa, Perpetual Ukadike, Ebonyi, Chimamaka Immaculate Ali, Rivers, Nyekachi Douglas, Cross River, Louisa Jacob-Duke, Nasarawa, Nana Aisha Abubakar, Borno, Chinaza Miracle, Niger, Princess Harnet Eweka, and Ondo, Inem Shina.

The new Miss Universe Nigeria is no stranger to pageantry, having joined and won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) 2017. She went on to participate in Miss World 2017 in Sanya, China where she placed in the Top 15.

This year's standalone national competition for Miss Universe Nigeria was a spin-off from the renowned MBGN pageant of the Silverbird Group headed by Guy Murray-Bruce.

Last year's winner Hannah Iribhogbe crowned her successor at the end of the glittering event.

Anambra's Basil Onyinyechi crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025

Miss Anambra, Basil Onyinyechi, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. She bested 21 other contestants to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Idah Eno of Akwa Ibom clinched the crown of Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025 and will head to Poland for Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Meet the winners of Miss Nepal 2025

The Miss Nepal 2025 pageant was held on Saturday, August 30 at the  Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. In addition to Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International, and Miss Nepal Earth, the 26 contestants also competed for the new title of Miss Nepal Cosmo. Nariman Battikha, representing Monagas, beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Grand Venezuela 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Wynwood Park, Valencia. The 30-year-old coach, speaker and entrepreneur will represent Venezuela at Miss Grand International 2025 in Thailand this October. She succeeds last year's titleholder Anna Blanco. No stranger to pageantry, Nary represented the state of Portuguesa at Miss Venezuela 2017 and finished in the Top 10. 81-year-old model Choi Soon-hwa joins Miss Universe Korea 2024

Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Korea 2024 final will be held on September 30 and the winner will head to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024 this November. Laila Frizon, representing the state of Rio Grande do Sul, was proclaimed Miss Earth Brazil 2025 on Friday, August 29 at Centro de Eventos do Ceará in Fortaleza. The 23-year-old biomedical aesthetician from Palotina, Paraná bested over 20 other contestants to win the national beauty title.
