Jeannie Mai to host Miss Universe Philippines 2024 final show


The Miss Universe Philippines organization has just announced Jeannie Mai as one of the hosts of the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 final show.

Jeannie will join former Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA and Filipino actor Alden Richards in hosting the highly anticipated event.

The Emmy award-winning TV personality was a backstage correspondent for the Miss Universe pageant in 2011, 2012, and 2013 then co-hosted the 2022 and 2023 editions.

This year's Miss Universe Philippines grand coronation night will happen on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

The winner, to be crowned by outgoing queen Michelle Dee, will represent the "Pearl of the Orient" at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November.

Miss Fairfield USA Jenna Hofmann was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2025 on Sunday, January 26 at the Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 23-year-old real estate professional, originally from New York, will now prepare to represent Connecticut at the Miss USA 2025 pageant. She succeeds last year's winner Shavana Clarke. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2024 is Melloney Dassanayake

Melloney Dassanayake was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2024 during the national competition held on Friday, September 27 at Citrus Waskaduwa. The 25-year-old banker and professional model from Colombo beat 17 other contestants to win the title and will now represent Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Over 20 beauties have already been confirmed as representatives of their respective countries and territories for the 71st Miss World edition. The final competition and official venue of the prestigious pageant are yet to be announced by the Miss World Organization. Bianca Lorena Tirsin was officially named Miss Universe Romania 2020 on Tuesday, December 1 in a special announcement that aired on Romanian TV channel Antena Stars. The 21-year-old model and business administration student from Arad will represent her country at the 69th Miss Universe pageant to be held next year possibly in the USA. Miruna Alexandra Doldor, Pălimariu Diana Nicole, and Ada-Maria Ileana were the runners-up while Cristina Brudiu was named Miss Popularity Romania 2020. Makaʻala Perry to represent Hawaii at Miss International 2023

Makaʻala Perry is the newly appointed Miss International Hawaii 2023 and will represent the Aloha State at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. The 24-year-old flight attendant, business owner, and musician was announced as Priscilla Wang's successor for the national title last month. Besides working for Hawaiian Airlines and running her own business called Sunbeams Creamery, a dessert shop located in Wahiawa, she is also pursuing her bachelor of arts degree in music at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. As a musician and hula dancer, she performs regularly doing seasonal shows at the Four Seasons Ko’olina and travels to Japan, Canada, and Taiwan sharing her love of music and dance. Miss Central Ohio, Mackenzie Schutt was crowned Miss Ohio USA 2023 in a state competition held on Saturday, May 20 at The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts in Portsmouth. The 27-year-old model and personal trainer from Columbus holds a degree in kinesiology and exercise science from Calvin University (formerly Calvin College) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mackenzie joined the pageant several times before finally winning the title. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss USA 2022 third runner-up Sir'Quora Carroll, and will now represent the state of Ohio at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall.
