Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Top 50 delegates officially announced

The game is officially on for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 as the Top 50 official delegates have been announced today on the pageant's official social media page. From 50, only 30 will move on to the final competition on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. The winner will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022. Several beauties who have previously held national titles were spotted on the list including former Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Katrina Llegado, Miss Earth Philippines Celeste Cortesi, and Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee. Former Miss Universe Philippines third runner-up Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol also made a comeback in the national pageant. The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization has already announced April 30 as the official date for the coronation night of this year's national competition. The application process has also been officially opened. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 and under 28 years old at the time of the pageant, a Filipino citizen and Philippines passport holder, female, never been married, and never have been pregnant. No minimum height is required. Applications are now open to those who would like to participate in the Miss Universe Great Britain 2022 competition. The deadline for submission of the application is on January 31. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirement: - Resident of England, Scotland or Wales - British passport holder - Between 18-28 years old (must be over 18 and under 28 - ie 27 - on 1st January in the year of the final) - Free to take part in Miss Universe (if crowned Miss Universe GB) - Never have been married or have had children The final competition is expected to take place in July and the winner will represent Great Britain at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant later this year. Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced on social media that screening of applicants for the 2022 competition will start this February. The announcement also confirmed the month when the pageant will take place. "We’re brewing something phenomenal. Miss Universe Philippines 2022, this coming April," the organizers posted. Last year's winner and Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 finalist from Cebu City, Beatrice Luigi Gomez, will crown her successor who will represent the Philippines at the 71st Miss Universe edition possibly later this year. Miss Universe 2022 rumored to be hosted in France

Miss Universe 2022 will be held in Paris, France according to a now-deleted social media post of Israeli fashion photographer Itai Kadosh. This will of course remain a rumor until the Miss Universe Organization releases an official confirmation announcing the host country of the next Miss Universe edition. If so happened that the rumor is true, it will be the first time for France to host the competition and the second time for Europe since Miss Universe 2000 in Cyprus. Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman bested 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2022 in a national competition held on Tuesday, December 21. The 27-year-old professional model representing the Ashanti Region succeeds Naa Morkor Commodore and will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant expected to be held next year. Miss Ahafo, Dorothy Ndede Kojo, and Miss Eastern, Magalie Ama Kabangele, were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Ghana is no stranger to pageantry. Miss Región Andina, Amanda Dudamel, bested 17 other beauties to win the glittering Miss Venezuela 2021 competition held on Thursday, October 28 in Caracas. The 21-year-old model, tennis player, and fashion designer is the daughter of former national soccer team goalkeeper and coach, Rafael Dudamel. She was crowned by last year's winner, Mariángel Villasmil, and will now prepare to represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2022. Miss Cojedes, Ariagny Daboín, was named Miss Venezuela World 2021. The 24-year-old clinical psychologist succeeds Alejandra Conde and will be sent to the Miss World 2022 pageant. Miss South Africa 2021 Top 10 finalists announced

The Top 10 finalist of the Miss South Africa 2021 national competition was virtually announced on Tuesday, August 3 on the pageant's online platform. Four finalists are from Gauteng, three from Western Cape, two from Eastern Cape and one from KwaZulu-Natal. They are Zimi Mabunzi, Jeanni Mulder, Bianca Bezuidenhout, Cheneil Hartzenberg, Kgothatso Dithebe, Catherine Groenewald, Moratwe Masima, Kaylan Matthews, Lalela Mswane and Tiffany Francis. The distinguished panel of judges includes former Miss South Africa titleholders Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala (2010), Liesl Laurie (2015), Melinda Bam (2011), and Tamaryn Green (2018). Miss South Africa 2021 will take place at Sun International's Grand West Arena in Cape Town on October 16.
