Miss Scotland 2022 is Lucy Sophia Thomson

Lucy Sophia Thomson bested 10 other finalists to be crowned Miss Scotland 2022 on Friday, July 29 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. The 23-year-old beauty representing Fife from Dunfermline succeeds last year's winner Claudia Todd and will represent Scotland at the 71st Miss World pageant. Olivia McPike from Kirkintilloch and Ailsa Black from Edinburgh were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Scotland took to social media to thank her friends, family, and supporters who inspired and helped her succeed in her journey to the national crown. "My smile says it all. What a whirlwind the last 48 hours have been. I don't think it's sunk in yet," she wrote. Miss Lebanon 2022 is Yasmina Zaytoun

A 20-year-old journalism student from Kfarchouba, Yasmina Zaytoun, won Miss Lebanon 2022 in Beirut on Sunday, July 24. Seventeen contestants participated in the national competition which was held after a 4-year hiatus. Maya Reaidy who won in 2018 and went on to compete during the 67th Miss Universe edition in Bangkok, crowned her successor at the end of the event. The runners-up were Maya Aboul Hosn (first runner-up), Jacintha Rached (second runner-up), Lara Hraoui (third runner-up), and Dalal Hoballah (fourth runner-up). Former Miss USA Rima Fakih, who is now the national director of Miss Universe Lebanon, announced that the winner will be sent to the next edition of Miss Universe and Miss World. If the dates of both international pageants coincide, the winner will solely represent Lebanon in the next Miss World, while the first runner-up will be sent to Miss Universe 2022. Femina Miss India 2022 is Sini Shetty

The 58th Femina Miss India pageant was held on Sunday, July 3 at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. A 21-year-old Bharatanatyam dancer from Karnataka, Sini Shetty, bested 29 other contestants to win the title of Femina Miss India 2022. Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh were respectively named the first and second runners-up while Gargee Nandy and Pragnya Ayyagari completed the Top 5 finalists. Last year's winner and 70th Miss World Top 13 placer, Manasa Varanasi, crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Femina Miss India holds a degree in accounting and finance, and currently pursuing CFA as a professional course. She will now prepare to represent India at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss Sud Comoé, Marlène-Kany Kouassi, bested 26 other finalists to be crowned Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2022 on Saturday, July 2 at Sofitel Abidjan. Nassita Diako and Laurel Gnakpa were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Amy Touré and Paule-Nelly Kouamé completed the Top 5. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska has arrived in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire for the first time together with Miss World CEO Julia Morley and Miss World Europe Anna Leitch. They were welcome at the airport by reigning Miss Cote D'Ivoire and Miss World Africa Olivia Yace, and Comici De Cote D'Ivoire President Víctor Yapobi. It was the first time the 70th Miss World Top 3 beauties were together since their competition in Puerto Rico last March. The official visit to the West African country was to celebrate Olivia's achievement and witness the coronation of Miss Cote D'Ivoire 2022 on Saturday, July 2. Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 is Elena Rivera of Toa Baja

Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant. Last year's titleholder Aryam Díaz Rosado crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss World Puerto Rico is an 18-year-old fashion model and marketing student. Paula Pérez, a representative of Castellón, bested 49 other contestants to be crowned Miss World Spain 2022 on Saturday, June 18 at Can Xaubet in Pineda de Mar, Barcelona. The 26-year-old beauty holds a degree in medicine and surgery. She is a model and works as a resident doctor. Andrea Franco of Las Palmas and María José García of Málaga were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 6 finalists were Mireia Casajuana of Barcelona, Laura Etayo of Navarra, and Indara Fuentes of Sevilla. The 19-year-old beauty from Kruje is a fashion model and law student at the Mediterranean University of Albania.  She succeeds last year's titleholder, Amela Agastra, and will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss Mondo Italia 2022 is Rebecca Arnone

Valle d'Aosta representative, Rebecca Arnone, was crowned Miss Mondo Italia 2022 (Miss World Italy 2022) in a glittering competition held on Saturday, June 18 at Villa dei Fiori in Gallipoli. The 19-year-old model and biological sciences student at the University of Turin succeeds last year's winner Claudia Motta. Apart from modeling since the age of 15, she enjoys spending her free time with her closest friends, painting, and writing. She loves listening to metal-rock music and is a fan of the Italian rock band Måneskin. Composing short stories is what she considers her greatest passion. Rebecca is expected to represent Italy at the 71st Miss World pageant, whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Italy has yet to win the Miss World pageant since its first participation in 1954. The country's highest placement was first runner-up (second place) with Giorgia Palmas in 2000. Miss Nepal 2022: Meet the newly crowned Nepalese beauties for Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth

Three titles were at stake during the Miss Nepal 2022 final competition organized by The Hidden Treasure on Saturday, June 18 at Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. Over 20 beauties from across Nepal competed for the titles Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International and Miss Nepal Earth. Priyanka Rani Joshi, a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Kathmandu, was crowned Miss Nepal World 2022. The Miss Nepal International and Miss Nepal Earth 2022 titles were respectively awarded to Sareesha Shrestha and Nancy Khadka. Miss South Africa 2022 Top 10 finalists announced

The Top 10 official finalists vying for the title of Miss South Africa 2022 have been announced on Monday, June 13 at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton. This year's national competition will take place at Time Square's SunBet Arena in Pretoria and the winners are expected to represent South Africa at the international Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational pageants. Meet the Top 10 official finalists: Anarzade Omar (23) from Crown Gardens Johannesburg, Gauteng has a BA in Strategic Communication in Marketing from the University of Johannesburg and works as a social media manager at a digital marketing agency. Miss World's Julia Morley receives CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List

Miss World Organization was delighted to share that Julia Morley has been awarded the CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List. The CBE (Commander British Empire) has been awarded in recognition of Julia’s charitable and voluntary services to disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world. “I am absolutely thrilled. It is so special to be recognized in this way," said the Chairman and CEO of Miss World. Julia Morley coined the phrase "Beauty With A Purpose" as her vision for young women to use their talents to help those less fortunate than themselves. Officially launched in 1972, Beauty With A Purpose has had a significant impact on improving the lives of the sick and disadvantaged. 50 years later, the program is now operating in 142 countries with funds raised for humanitarian projects exceeding 1 billion US dollars. Gwendolyne Fourniol, representative of Negros Occidental, bested 35 other contestants to win the Miss World Philippines 2022 title at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday, June 5. The 21-year-old Filipino-French beauty pursued a degree in economics from Oxford Brookes University in London. She is an advocate for education and has been working with a non-profit organization that sends underprivileged kids to school.
