Celeste Viel bested 17 other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Chile 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, August 13 at the Radisson Blu Plaza El Bosque Santiago. The 23-year-old public relations student, model, and health coach representing Comunidad Extranjera also bagged the Miss Pasarela award following the swimsuit competition. Natasha Joubert was crowned Miss South Africa 2023 during the 65th Miss South Africa pageant held on Sunday, August 13 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria. The 26-year-old marketing management graduate and entrepreneur from Tshwane, Gauteng won in her second attempt for the national title. The 20-year-old nursing home employee and women's health advocate hailing from Brumunddal was third runner-up during the Miss Norway 2023 (Miss Universe Norway 2023) pageant recently held in Oslo. She succeeds Miss Earth Norway 2022 Lilly Sødal who placed in the Top 20 among 85 contestants at Miss Earth 2022 in Manila, Philippines last November.
