Philippines' Celeste Cortesi flaunts 'trauma bangs' in latest photo after Miss Universe


Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi shared a new photo flaunting her "trauma bangs" in one of her latest posts since coming home from the 71st Miss Universe competition in New Orleans.

The 25-year-old model was possibly referring to her failed attempt to bring back her country's fifth Miss Universe crown when she was not called into the Top 16 semifinals.

Not only Celeste, unfortunately, missed out on getting a placement but she also broke the longest streak that the Philippines achieved at Miss Universe in the past 12 years.

In a lengthy post after arriving back in the Philippines, the proud Filipina shared how the entire year has been the most challenging yet most exciting time of her life. She also added that representing her country was her greatest honor.

"I am discovering purposes that go beyond my self-ambitions and I am immensely grateful to have had the chance to represent all Filipinos and all the sweet fans of pageantry around the world," she said.

Celeste also left a heartwarming message to her fans: "I feel your love, I hear your support, and I see your messages every day. I now believe that my purpose is to inspire, and I will never stop inspiring and motivating all of you, with or without the Universe crown. I am committed."

Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Top 6 national costumes announced

The spectacular Miss Universe Philippines 2026 national costume competition took place on Thursday, April 16 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan. This year's show, themed Water, was hosted by the reigning Miss Eco Philippines, Gabbi Carballo. The contestants took to the stage, displaying Filipino artistry through their colorful costumes. Following the competition the costumes from Baguio City , Roxie Baeyens, Iloilo Province , Nicklyn Jutay, Negros Occidental , Alexandria Colmenares, Pampanga , Allyson Hetland, Pangasinan , Donna Nuguid, and Tacloban City , Jacqueline Gulrajani were announced the Top 6. Miss Grand Thailand 2026 is Patthama Jitsawat of Chonburi

Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Panasaya Angelica Damaagd of Buriram was names first runner-up while Ilin Nabsuk of Phuket, Natthakitta Kerdkanchiroj of Saraburi, and Naruemol Chaloemroek of Sukhothai were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively.
