Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 is Karla Inelisse Guilfú Acevedo


Karla Inelisse Guilfú Acevedo was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 in a glittering competition held on Thursday, August 24 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan.

The 24-year-old psychology graduate hailing from Esmeralda del Sur, Patillas bested 29 other competitors to win the national title. She also bagged the Mujer de Valor award from L'Oréal Paris.

Xarimar Acevedo Pabón of Río Grande was named first runner-up while Kiara Rivera Escudero of Toa Baja, Fiorella Medina Pérez of Isabela, and Isarel Marielis Román Almeda of San Lorenzo were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Last year's winner, Ashley Cariño, a Top 5 finalist at Miss Universe 2022, handed over the new crown "Evolución" to her successor at the end of the event.

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Puerto Rico previously won the title Miss Supranational Puerto Rico at Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2020 and went on to compete in Miss Supranational 2021 where she placed first runner-up.

The social justice and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador this November.

Miss Universe Paraguay 2026 is Gretha Matiauda

Former Miss Earth Paraguay Gretha Matiauda has recently been appointed as her country's official representative in the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. The 24-year-old beauty from Asunción is an economist, international model and entrepreneur. She succeeds last year's titleholder Yanina Gómez who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025. Hanoi's Phan Phuong Oanh is the new Miss World Vietnam

Phan Phuong Oanh was proclaimed the winner of the Miss World Vietnam 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old international business graduate from Hanoi bested 46 other contestants to clinch the coveted national title. Vietnam to host the 73rd Miss World competition this summer

Vietnam, the land of the "Ascending Dragon", has been revealed as the official host country of the 73rd Miss World (Miss World 2026) competition. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Türkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced.
