Miss Grand International 2023: Top 20 Best National Costume announced


The Top 20 Best in National Costume for Miss Grand International 2023 have been officially revealed by the Miss Grand International organization via social media.

Sixty-eight grand beauties from around the world showcased their colorful and extravagant costumes on Friday, October 20 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The judges picked 10 costumes while the remaining 10 were from the online voting conducted through the official Facebook page of MGI.

Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Shelby Howell, representing Bangor, was crowned Miss Maine USA 2025 during the state final held on Sunday, May 11 in Portland. The 24-year-old real estate agent succeeds last year's winner Anne Baldridge and will now proceed to represent Maine at Miss USA 2025. Mara Carpenter of Cumberland County was named first runner-up while Jordon Hudson of Hancock, Reykha Lindor of Old Town, and Hannah Trottier-Braun of Lewiston were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Génesis Dávila of Arroyo was named first runner-up while Vivianie Díaz-Arroyo of Aguas Buenas, Nicole Marie Colón of Aibonito, and Chelsey García of Añasco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand.
