Miss Universe 2023: Registration and fittings, who are the standouts?

The 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant officially began this weekend where more than 80 beauties from different parts of the world arrived in the host country of El Salvador.

Following their arrival, pre-pageant activities kicked off with the registration and fittings at their official residence hotel, the Real Intercontinental San Salvador.

Aside from receiving their official sashes from The Sash Company, the contestants also had the chance to choose and be fitted for their official swimsuits and opening dresses courtesy of Clarisse Designs, a leading name in the world of women's formal wear.

Jojo Bragais, a Filipino designer who is known for his pageant shoes, is back as this year's sponsor for the contestants' official footwear.

MUBA Cosmetics also returned as the official makeup for the competition. Talented makeup artists help glam up each contestant, making them look fabulous as they gear up to fight for the crown.

Standout beauties from their first activities were from Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Curacao, Denmark, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Lebanon, Mexico, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Russia, USA, and Venezuela.

The Miss Universe 2023 final will be held on November 18 at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in El Salvador's capital city of San Salvador. More events and activities are coming up in the next few days.
