Ecuador wins Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022, Philippines bags Reina Internacional del Chocolate title

Ecuador's Laura Aguilera, a 20-year-old tourism student from Quito was crowned Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022 on Wednesday, March 30 at Teatro Pacific in Panama City. Another winner was Jerelleen Rodriguez from the Philippines who clinched the Reina Internacional del Chocolate 2022 title. The 29-year-old future lawyer also became the first Asian to win the international pageant. Kauane Nava of Brazil, Gennesis Padron of the United States, and Jaqui Gomez of Mexico were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Madame Tussauds Singapore launches former Miss Universe Catriona Gray's wax figure

After 3 years, Catriona Gray's wax figure was finally unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax museum at the Imbiah Lookout of Sentosa Island in Singapore on Wednesday, March 30. During the launching of the first and so far the only Filipino wax figure to be featured in the Singapore museum, the former Miss Universe looked stunning in a metal assemblage dress by Jaggy Glarino. "I'm so honored and flattered to be the only Filipino wax figure here in MT Singapore," Catriona shared on social media. Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang created a replica of the iconic Miss Universe lava gown for the figure with only small differences on the neckline to hide the seams where the head of the wax figure fit onto the body. Kathleen Paton of the Philippines was crowned Miss Eco International 2022 on Thursday, March 17 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The 24-year-old Australian-Filipino model who hails from Aklan bested 40 other beauties to win the Egypt-based international pageant. She succeeds South Africa's Gizzelle Uys. Belgium's Chloë Reweghs was named first runner-up while the United States' Jesaura “Jessy" Peralta placed second runner-up. Lucia Morales of Spain and Prasana Shri of Malaysia were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Eco International became the second woman from her country to bag the title. Cebu City's Fuschia Anne Ravena bested 25 other contestants to be crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2022 in a national competition held on Sunday, March 6 at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The 26-year-old Cebuana beauty who hails from Bogo City will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss International Queen 2022 in Pattaya, Thailand. Anne Patricia Lorenzo Diaz of Manila and Shane Lee Ahn of Inayawan, Cebu City, were the first and second runners-up, respectively. This year's event was the inaugural edition of Miss International Queen Philippines. It is a subsidiary of the Thailand-based international pageant, the largest beauty contest for transgender women. Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Top 50 delegates officially announced

The game is officially on for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 as the Top 50 official delegates have been announced today on the pageant's official social media page. From 50, only 30 will move on to the final competition on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. The winner will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022. Several beauties who have previously held national titles were spotted on the list including former Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Katrina Llegado, Miss Earth Philippines Celeste Cortesi, and Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee. Former Miss Universe Philippines third runner-up Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol also made a comeback in the national pageant. Former Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee joins Miss Universe Philippines 2022

Former Miss World Philippines titleholder, Michelle Dee, has confirmed her participation in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, November 15 she shared her photos by Dennis Sulit with the caption "It’s now or never. Hey Universe, my application video is now live on KUMU (@michellemdee) please check it out if you can." The 26-year-old model and actress is the daughter of a former supermodel and Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez. She was crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and went on to compete at the 69th Miss World pageant in London, where she placed in the Top 12 among over 100 contestants. Miss Philippines Earth has officially announced its nationwide search for the next wave of Filipinas who will serve as ambassadors to environmental protection campaigns in the Philippines. For its 22nd edition, the pageant takes on the theme “ME Loves Fauna” to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life and promote awareness of how they are essential members of the environment. After two virtual editions, the organization now plans to hold a live coronation event with a limited number of contestants, production staff, and audience, around July. Last year's winner, Naelah Alshorbaji, will relinquish her reign at the end of the event. The Filipino-Syrian beauty earned a place in the Top 8 during the international Miss Earth 2021 held virtually last November. The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization has already announced April 30 as the official date for the coronation night of this year's national competition. The application process has also been officially opened. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 and under 28 years old at the time of the pageant, a Filipino citizen and Philippines passport holder, female, never been married, and never have been pregnant. No minimum height is required. The longest-running national beauty competition teased its fans with today's special announcement that Binibining Pilipinas 2022 will be happening soon. "This is it, Binibini fans! Get ready for the country's most prestigious pageant this year," written on its official social media page. While the pageant activities were revealed to kick off in May, there is no confirmation on the official date for the final coronation night yet but according to reports it is set around July. 2021 was a very successful year for Binibining Pilipinas after winning two international beauty titles with Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita and Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne. The reigning Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold of Masbate has yet to compete in the 60th Miss International pageant, possibly to be held later this year after being postponed twice. Binibining Pilipinas was formed in the year 1964 and became the longest-running pageant in the Philippines.

Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced on social media that screening of applicants for the 2022 competition will start this February. The announcement also confirmed the month when the pageant will take place. "We’re brewing something phenomenal. Miss Universe Philippines 2022, this coming April," the organizers posted. Last year's winner and Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 finalist from Cebu City, Beatrice Luigi Gomez, will crown her successor who will represent the Philippines at the 71st Miss Universe edition possibly later this year. The winners are contestants from Botswana , Palesa Mofele, Cameroon , Audrey Monkam, Cote D'Ivoire , Olivia Yacé, Nepal , Namrata Shrestha, Nicaragua , Sheynnis Palacios, Paraguay , Bethania Borba, Philippines , Tracy Perez, and Venezuela , Alejandra Conde.
